About me
Hi, I’m Susan and am the founder of Reading Minds! I’m a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Therapist with a deep passion for helping children discover the joy and confidence that comes with learning to read. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education from the University of North Dakota, and later went on to complete my Master of Science in Elementary Education, with a focus on the Foundations of Literacy. I am a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Therapist, through CERI.
I started my career teaching elementary school before taking some time away from the classroom to raise my two wonderful daughters. For the past ten years, I’ve been teaching preschool, where I get to spark curiosity, build early literacy skills, and watch little learners grow every day.
I love supporting students of all ages as they unlock their potential and learn that reading can truly be for everyone.
